All pieces are original one of a kind works by Kyle Stanley. Each was created by first collaging antique ephemera, such as National Geographic magazines, postcards, letters, and sheet music, onto a wood surface. Oil paint is then applied using a glazing technique, allowing the underlying imagery and textures to remain visible. Mysticism, folklore and rich history are the themes that run throughout this collection. Each piece is meant to be a snapshot of a larger narrative.
